About the trip:

DAY I

VENICE

- Arrival from the UK and Poland in the morning

Welcome to one of the most famous islands in the world and the city that has been there for almost 1,600 years - Venice. You can say a lot about it: overcrowded, crowded, sometimes dirty and not the best smelling. I don't fully understand the tourists' dissatisfaction. This city has been "standing on water" for hundreds of years and is strictly dependent on it. Taking into account the whims of the sea in its waterways, it is often flooded, which greatly affects everyday functioning. Water is unforgiving, carrying away everything in its path, including garbage. If we add difficulties in access, transportation and waste management, it is still good. Millions of tourists pour into this beautiful city, contributing and often complaining. However, through numerous journeys, we have learned to look at the places we visit as they are, not as they could be. And Venice seen through our eyes is wonderful and we will do everything so that you can get to know its most beautiful places and be able to assess its values for yourself, let's go...

Our idea, which has been implemented for several years, is to explore cities "from Buta". It is thanks to long walks that we have the opportunity to discover their treasures. It will be the same this time. From the station we set off towards the central part of the city, located at the bend of the Grand Canal. This tangle of streets and romantic canals will delight everyone. We will visit the most beautiful churches in this part of the city. We will stop for lunch in one of the cozy pubs and go to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will head towards the Grand Canal - the largest of Venice's canals. We will cross it in gondolas to get to the other side. From here we will go all the way to the famous Ponte di Rialto bridge. This is one of the landmarks of Venice, which often appears on postcards and souvenirs. On the way back we will stop for dinner and spend the evening together.

DAY II

VENICE

The next day we will head to the heart of Venice - St. Peter's Square. Mark. This is the location where events in the city's modern history take place. This is where the most important buildings in the city are located, such as: St. Basilica. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace and the Clock Tower. A walk around the square and admiring the beautiful architecture up close is a must-see when visiting this magical city. When crossing the canal, you must look at the famous Bridge of Sighs and learn about its history.

In the afternoon we will hop on one of the local ferries and head towards the island of Burano. This small island located in the Venetian lagoon delights every visitor. Crossed by two canals, it became a home for many residents. You won't find here any monumental buildings known from Venice or even other islands. However, we will feel the atmosphere of small houses painted in different colors, which create a colorful scenery for photos. Called the "Island of Colors", it is also famous for hand-made laces, which have been the pride of this place since the 16th century. Souvenirs with their motifs are a must-have travel souvenir.

DAY III

FLORENCE

- Morning train ride to Florence

Welcome to the capital of one of the most beautiful regions of Italy - Tuscany. Florence is a work of art and a city that cannot be found in other parts of Europe or the world. It is an enclave of remains of distinguished families, painters, sculptors and poets. The fascinating architecture surprises the most demanding art connoisseurs. But not only that, because everyone will fall in love with the local atmosphere and the atmosphere of life here, let's set off... The first goal of our journey will be the amazing Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore. It is the symbol of Florence and the fourth largest church in Europe. It impresses with its construction cost, style and monumentality. One of the most beautiful religious buildings in this part of the world, its history dates back to the 13th century. We will visit its interior and learn about the interesting history of its construction.

Walking through the streets, you cannot miss one of the most outstanding art galleries in the world - the Uffizi. The buildings included in the complex were built in the 16th century and were designed by Vasari. We will look at them from the outside, but those interested will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition rooms (additional fee).

It's time for the pearl of Florence - Vecchio Palace. The construction of this seat of government began in the 13th century, and Piazza Della Signoria gained in splendor with its completion. Great examples of sculptures by outstanding artists decorate elements of not only the palace but also the courtyard. There is also a sculpture of the symbol of Florence - the lion. Here we will hear the names of the greatest, including Verocchio and Vasari. Possibility to visit the interior of the palace (additional fee).

From here it is only a step to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, which was built especially for Prince Cosima. The assumption and genesis, apart from a typically practical function, was to create shopping malls here where the prince could stroll. To this day, there are jewelry boutiques here and the bridge is a great background for photos.

When in Florence you must visit the Medici palace, family, thankswhere so many monuments and works of art have survived. The Pitti Palace, although from the outside it is not one of the most beautiful symbols of native architecture, shows the strength and greatness of those who reigned here at that time. Together with the Medici Palace and the Vecchio Palace, it gives the impression of being carved from stone, strong and strong. These are the family's business cards and their pride.

DAY IV

FLORENCE

We will spend this day relaxing for a bit from the hustle and bustle of the city. After breakfast, we will go to the beautiful Boboli Gardens. It is a beloved place for the inhabitants of Florence, who organize picnics here and relax in the shade of the cypress trees. In addition to carefully designed plants, the garden boasts beautiful fountains, statues and sculptures. Created on the orders of Prince Cosmo I, it was supposed to be not only a place of respite but also a showcase of style.

After coffee, there will be time for some last-minute Florentine shopping and free time. We will stop for lunch to head towards the most beautiful viewpoints of the city. These are a kind of "windows" to Florence and the opportunity to look at it from above. We will visit two of them, hoping for a charming sunset from the terraces of Piazzale Michelangelo. In the evening, dinner and preparation for departure towards Verona.
