Bangor, Tryfan, Bangor LL57 3LZ, UK

About the trip:

Welcome.

On Saturday, August 7, we go back to Snowdonia National Park to reach another peak belonging to the highest in Wales.

The plan is to climb the Tryfan peak, 917 meters above sea level, from the south.

This peak is considered the only Welsh mountain that requires the use of both arms and legs to reach it.

Although the south ascent is considered easier, it also requires a method of approach called scrambling.

After reaching Tryfan, we will be able to climb two more peaks:

Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr with an altitude of 994 and 1001 m above sea level to then descend to the hanging glacial valley Cwm Idwal through the so-called "The Devil's Kitchen".

This variant of the transition will depend on the weather conditions and the performance of the group.

Each variant of the passage is definitely a great way to gain new skills in moving in the mountains, when we are not walking the standard trails.

It is an opportunity to break certain barriers, learn to coordinate and control your movements.

The route, however, is quite demanding and with a large exposure of slopes.

The trip is therefore intended for people who are physically fit and experienced in mountain hiking.

Therefore, we invite everyone who enjoys active recreation, the opportunity to test themselves and achieve the set goal to be as happy as we do. This is the perfect way to meet new people and news about the place you are visiting. Plus hundreds of photos, thousands of memories and new experiences.

ROUTE:

- DISTANCE OK. 5-6 km (Tryfan only) or 12 km with Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr - INCREASE OK. 575 m (first variant) or 950 m (second variant)

- TRANSFER TIME OK. 3 hours Or approx. 6 hours. longer variant
