SCOTLAND AND SKYE ISLAND - Beauty of the North - Active Expedition

... we are moving - heading north ... and not by accident.

For those who have not been given the opportunity to cross this magical Scottish border, we say that it is a different world. Maybe a bit of a fairy tale, often shrouded in myths and legends, slightly unreal, often giving and realistic feelings. But in its measure it is the most real.

It is a world that we often know from the stories of various travelers and documentaries watched at home. ... and suddenly it is not quiet anymore, the amazing nature comes to life, absorbs and invites you. And it has so much to offer that it's hard to put into words.

So spend these few days in one of the most beautiful corners of the world and discover the best with our help. This 8-day active trip will make you probably not rest and sleep too much, then when you come back, it will be difficult to fall asleep because of the memories.

DAY I

- Departure from Wrexham and Chester and meeting with the Polish team at the airport in Glasgow around noon

- A stop in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world of Glencoe, famous for its breathtaking views. We will take a 3-hour trek to the Hidden Valley. We will learn the geological history of this part of Scotland as well as the turbulent history of the clans fighting here. We will see the filming locations of the James Bond movie

- Skyfall, Braveheart with Mell Gibson, or one of the parts of Harry Potter - Then we will go to Fort William for a camping where we will spend 3 nights

DAY II

- After breakfast, we will follow the trail towards the picturesque waterfall Steall Falls, traversing the Allt Coire a 'Mhail valley. There will be an opportunity to test yourself on the crossing built of three steel ropes enabling the crossing of the river.

- Free time in the afternoon or the opportunity to visit a whiskey distillery (additional fee) and prepare to climb the next day

DAY III

- We will devote this day to reaching the highest peak in Scotland and the whole of Great Britain. Ben Nevis, because we are talking about him here, proudly rises above the beautiful Loch Linnhe lake and the entire surrounding area. This massif, which was created 350 million years ago, is now 1,346 m above sea level. Like many peaks in the UK, the height is not knocking down in this case. However, if we take into account the elevation to be climbed, the length of the trail and unpredictable weather, the impressions are guaranteed !!! It is also one of the peaks belonging to the British crown.

DAY IV

- Transfer to Loch Ness - On the way to the beautiful island of SKYE, we will go to the sensational location and the most photographed castle in the UK

- Eilean Donan Castle. It towers romantically over Loch Duich since the 13th century, although the evidence of settlement in this place dates back to ancient times. - After entering the island, we will drive to its capital - the town of Portree.

- We will end the day in a place with spectacular views. We will look at a beautiful rock, and in fact the sharply sloping Kilt Rock. This 90 meter high rock wall is made of basalt columns resting on a sandstone base. It owes its name to the rocks resembling the deceptively Scottish plaid, which decorates one of the elements of Scottish men's attire, the kilt. From this place we will also admire the amazing Mealt waterfall, whose waters fall down a steep cliff straight into the sea. - 2-night drive to camping

DAY V

- The first point of the day will be trekking along the most beautiful rock formations on the island. The views are amazing at every step. For all those who visit this place and walk the tour, Skye will stay in their hearts for life. There are few places on earth where nature and its power to influence humans are so great.

- In the afternoon we will go to the area of ​​the famous outliers, The Old Man of Storr. Here we will really start our adventure with the beautiful landscapes of Skye. According to local legends, this almost 50-meter-high stone club is the protruding thumb of the Giant buried in the ground, or the Giant itself turned to stone, when while escaping from the attackers he looked back. The vicinity of the Starc of Storr is teeming with various rock pillars and rock formations, which have become the background of many films that were shot here, such as "Stardust", "Cult" and "Prometheus" or "Breaking the Waves".

DAY VI

- Drive to Stirling, during which we will stop in the charming village of Glenfinnan with a breathtaking view of the lake formed on the Shiel River. From here, we will go towards the Glenfinnan Viaduct picturesquely integrated into the landscape. The viaduct played an important role, among others in the movie Harry Potter - Hotel Accommodation in Stirling

The expedition will take place on 3-10 June 2022.

Departure from Wrexham / Chester at approx. 3 a.m .

Departure only for 9 people aged 14+.

- Possibility of installment payments after prior arrangement with the organizer.

- Think carefully about your decision. If the trip does not take place due to the organizer's reasons, the entire amount paid will be returned to the participant's account.
