STANAGE EDGE

We start with the spring, more and more intensively.

This time, on the horizon of our discoveries, there is the beautiful cliffs of Stanage Edge, located in the Peak District National Park.

The choice is not accidental and we hope it will be a great variety to our journeys.

Stanage is the largest and most impressive sandstone ridge in this part of the UK. It is a popular climbing and trekking destination.

During our trip, we will cover several kilometers and walk the old Roman road Long Causeway, we will visit the Robin Hood's cave, which is hidden on the cliff side and quite difficult to access.

It has amazing views of the area and the history of outlaws.

It is also a great opportunity to learn about the geology and genesis of these rock formations.

The Stanage Ridge is a very popular place among photographers because it offers a great background for photos, which we hope to take advantage of as well.

After exhausting miles of walking, a well-deserved summary of the day in a local pub.

- Route length approx. 16 KM

- Height difference approx. 300 m

- Walking time 5 HOURS + breaks

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

The trip is intended for adults.

The price for the event is £ 10 per person.

We travel to the meeting point by our own cars and at our own expense.

People who do not have cars can use other places after agreeing with the organizer and participating in the cost of fuel.

We take trekking shoes, warm clothes, raincoats, hats and gloves on the trail.

Each participant takes something to eat and drink in the backpack during the march.
