Someone once wrote that Istanbul is a fairy tale; perhaps not fully seen through the eyes of a child's imagination, but certainly told with delight ... This story is the quintessence of the atmosphere that, built over the centuries, carries the weight of history. Originally Byzantium, later Constantinople, located on both shores of the Bosphorus Strait, is a natural border between Europe and Asia. It was the capital of the Roman Empire and for centuries it was called the City of Cities. Napoleon stated that if the world were one country, Istanbul would become its capital.

This unique geographical location gives an image of the genesis of development on trade routes over the centuries. It is a huge baggage of experiences resulting from a multitude of cultures, customs, religions, and politics. At the junction of Persian, Byzantine, and European influences, a unique city was created; it is here that a multitude of ideas, emotions, desires, and stereotypes are generated. Without a doubt, this city is a kind of "gateway" to the East, which opens its wings to the Orient. A feast of colors, flavors, and colours contrast with the monumentality, chaos, and incredible pace of everyday life. On the other hand, however, there are quiet districts where you can relax, rest, and look at the city from a different perspective. This will be our journey through the streets and alleys of this delightful city located between two continents. We will get to know its most famous monuments, but also places "hidden" from the tourist hustle and bustle.
