MARSYLIA & CALANQUES NATIONAL PARK - „Valentines ’23”

We are organizing an active Valentine's Day trip for the third time.

This time, the choice fell on one of the most beautiful parts of France - Provence. Exactly on its southern part, which effectively connects with the sea.

The Cote d'Azur, because we are talking about it here for years, has attracted everyone who craves amazing views, sun and blue water.

It is also a part of Europe, famous for its great cuisine, where fresh fish and seafood are an indispensable part of it.

Good cuisine must go hand in hand with good wine, the regional character and unique taste of which appeals to its greatest connoisseurs.

However, what impresses us the most is nature and nature. Even though we visit Marseille, there are countless great hiking spots around.

This is a great opportunity to "get away" from the hustle and bustle of the city and admire the geological forms of the nearby Calanques National Park. The French coast of the Balearic Sea is also an amazing history of settlement, struggles for influence and domination in this reservoir. Our proposal is a comprehensive knowledge of not only Marseille but also its immediate surroundings. There will also be a time for rest and a joint Valentine's Day dinner.

DAY 1

After arriving and checking in, we will head towards the port to eat after the journey and gain strength for further sightseeing. A walk around the port gives you the opportunity to get to know how the proximity of the sea affects the lives of residents and their work. We will walk along the most popular promenade of Marseille - La Canbiére. We will look into the charming church of Église Saint Férreol and we will direct our steps to Fort Saint Nicholas, which for centuries guarded the entrance to the port and repelled enemy attacks. We will end the day on a nearby hill with the magnificent Notre Dame de la Garde basilica. An additional advantage will be a wonderful view of Marseille, illuminated at this time of the winter evening.

DAY 2

We will visit the wild and almost uninhabited Calanques National Park. The park is rich in beautiful bays embedded among limestone cliffs. Calanques - tiny fjords with turquoise water look amazing against the background of limestone. We will see Calanque d’en Vau, Calanque de Port-Miou and Calanque de Port-Pin. During the trekking, we will go along a picturesque coastal trail that will reveal for us the most attractive parts of the park. We will discover tiny beaches hidden among white rocks, fishing villages and interesting rock formations. We will visit the settlement of Cassis, where we will rest after a demanding walk. It is a small local community that lives off what the sea has to offer and tourists who like to visit this place to relax.

DAY 3

We will start this day with a visit to a traditional fish market, where we will see the treasures caught by local fishermen every day. Then we will go by ferry to the island of Iles du Frioul. The archipelago of Frioul islands is protected by a national park and is included in the list of Natura 2000 sites. We will sail through a bay that boasts crystal clear waters and seabed. It is also a great chance to get to know the local fauna and flora. Above all, however, we will discover facts from the history of not only the archipelago but also of Marseille. We will visit the sixteenth century fortress built on the order of the French king Francis I. While also serving as a prison, the fortress lived to see amazing legends about people imprisoned in it and escapes. There will be free time for lunch and souvenir shopping. In the afternoon we will return to land and we will direct our steps towards two museums connected not only with Marseille but also with Provence. In the evening, after resting in the hotel, we will discover the evening face of the city vibrant until late at night. We will eat a Valentine's Day dinner together and remember what we have seen and experienced on this unique piece of the French coast

- Condition of participation:

- The trip is aimed at adults, we invite both couples and singles. Our trips are a great way to meet new people and maybe even the love of your life.

- The condition of participation is registration of participation and payment of an advance payment of £ 100 per person. The rest is payable by December 31, 2022. Payment in installments possible after agreement with the organizer.

- Each participant is obliged to purchase a flight ticket on the Manchester - Marseille route by the end of October

- Think carefully about your decision. The advance payment will be returned without giving any reason by October 31. After this date, no refunds will be made.

- Number of participants expedition is strictly defined, the order of applications decides

- If the trip does not take place due to the fault of the organizer, all the funds paid will be returned to the participant's account
