JORDAN "Painted with Sand"

Another exciting expedition to a country that is unique in every respect awaits us. In November 2025, we will set foot on the lands belonging to the Kingdom of Jordan. This Asian country is located in the Middle East, although small, has a lot to offer. The name comes from the famous Jordan River, which creates vast lowlands here in opposition to the highlands that occupy most of the country. It is here that religions and cultures come together, which surprise visitors so much for the first time. Jordan is steeped in an extremely rich history, the legacy of which can be seen at every step. The famous caravan routes that traversed these lands in the past have become covered in myths and legends, permanently inscribed in its pages. Inhabited as early as the 13th century BC by tribes such as the Ammonites, Edomites and Moabites, it built its position in the region and the seeds of a state. The famous Nabatean peoples have contributed so much over the years that we can admire their achievements to this day. Similarly to the legacy from Roman times, whose evidence we will also learn about.

Geographically, it is no less surprising; here you can stand on peaks reaching 1800 m above sea level, as well as find yourself in places located over 400 m below its level!!! The north of this desert country is the most fertile areas where you can cultivate land and breed animals. The further south you go, the landscape changes dramatically, giving way to sands creating semi-deserts, deserts and famous sand valleys. The landscape straight from Mars abounds not only in colored sands but also in rocks of various origins, including volcanic ones. It is not without reason that they became the scenery for such films as "The Martian" or "Indiana Jones".

In Jordan, among the yellow and rust colors, we will find the amazing Dead Sea, whose blue and turquoise waters encourage swimming, which we will do. During our journey, we will reach the very south, to the shores of the Red Sea, which, unlike the Dead Sea, has an incredibly rich marine life.

This is exactly what our expedition will be; a literal journey through an extremely rich history, wonderful culture, interesting religion and delightful encounters with the local people. From the wonders of the ancient world, Roman ruins, places of worship for Christians, to an extraordinary safari along the most beautiful trails of Wadi Rum. There will be overnight stays in the desert under the stars and long conversations by the campfire amidst local rhythms.
