HOLYHEAD MOUNTAIN "History Hidden in the Rocks"

Hello after the winter break.

The coming spring and longer days encourage family escapades.

We have been organizing "Family Meetings on the Trail" for 4 years now, and it will be the same this year.

We start on Saturday, March 2, in an extraordinary place. We will meet on the north-west coast of the Welsh island of Anglesey.

This place is second to none, as the views from the cavernous cliffs are spectacular.

Many of you come to this area to visit the South Stack Lighthouse.

Of course, we will also look in its direction, but our goal will be the highest peak of the island - Holyhead Mountain.

This peak, which is easy to climb, is full of history. The area was inhabited already in the Bronze Age and the local settlement continued in the Iron Age. The attractiveness of these areas also tempted the Romans, whose remains were found in these areas.

We will learn all the interesting facts related to the history, geography and geology of the northern part of the island.

There will be time to admire the views, sea birds and nature coming to life.
